ABOUT ME
Devon has an extensive background in the competitive dance world. Her dance training began at a young age in the North Texas area at her home studio Dancer’s Studio Etc. She attended summer intensives at the Dallas Black Dance Academy and received scholarships for excellence in Modern and Jazz. As a teen she danced alongside the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders for performances with artists such as Toby Keith, Leanne Rhimes, Destiny’s Child, Kelly Clarkson, and Carrie Underwood.
She would later attend LSU, where she was a member of the LSU Tiger Girls and on the 2010 UDA College Hip Hop IA National Championship Team. She furthered her hip hop studies by attending Monsters of Hip Hop dance conventions where she received scholarships and was chosen to dance background for Drake, during a private Super Bowl performance, and Janelle Monae, for a Texas Lotto Commercial. In 2013 she again had the chance to dance backup for Beyonce during her memorable Super Bowl performance in New Orleans.
Currently, Devon works as a coach and the Recruitment Coordinator at Dance Dynamics in Spring, Texas. She continues to choreograph pom, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary/lyrical dances for studios and drill/dance teams across the country. Devon has choreographed for numerous State Champions, NDTC Finalist, The Dance Worlds finalist and most recently, the 2022 NDA Medium Varsity Hip Hop National Champion. She also spends her time working tirelessly with graduating seniors to pursue their dreams of dancing in college on competitive and game day teams. With years of training and coaching, she is excited to bring her knowledge of the industry and recruiting to the Houston area.
